About Robertson Paddles

We are a small Family of 4 at Robertson Paddles who are  passionate about adventures on and off the water. With this in mind in June 2024 we started to take a journey into creating our own company and the birth of Robertson Paddles to help others get onto the water giving advice while also supply quality Fatstick SUPS, kayaks, body boards and accessories.

Over time we have built some great relationships with other companys and brand owners this has given us the opportunity to be able to supply other products that go hand in hand with the crafts we supply.

Quality is our main aspect when looking for products that we are happy to sell to customers. When we see something we like and that would go well with what we sell we like to test the products first before adding them onto our website. If we don't like it then we feel we shouldn't sell it.

Delighted by products we have bought and tested before listing on our website we can guarantee that our customers will not be disappointed with what they can find on our website. This also gives use the opportunity to give the best advice on the product with first hand testing.

Karl's story into paddle boarding

Karl started paddle boarding back in 2022 after a family camping holiday with friends, where he observed the enjoyment that our two children were having on the south coast on paddle boards. Swiftly, being Karl, he started to research all things paddle boarding. After scrolling through many websites he bought his first paddle board from Fatstick. That was a Mellow Yellow Pure Art board.
As time went on he met some fellow paddle-boarders via Facebook groups. He created a WhatsApp group which quickly grew, with new local paddlers joining the group and soon it became a local Facebook group called Surrey Suppers, making more friends and learning more about paddling along the way. Karl then bought his next board in 2023 - a Fatstick tourer, because he wanted to be able to pick up a bit of speed paddling along the local rivers and canals. This then enabled our children to go out with him on their own boards, instead of Karl always having one of them on his board. This hasn't overly changed up to now, but from time to time our youngest will use our body board and Karl will drag her up the river behind his paddleboard, or our oldest will use the Pure Art board, and when he is tired Karl will tow him back to the launching spot. It's amazing what you can see around you on the river and it makes you feel so relaxed too.
